About Us

The Federal Defenders of Eastern Washington and Idaho is a Community Defender program that represents individuals charged with federal crimes both in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. We have two offices: the main office is in Spokane; the branch office is in Yakima.

We are independent from the local federal judiciary and funded by a sustaining grant of approximately $10 million awarded by Congress under the Criminal Justice Act.
